Who We Are

We’re Devon County Swimming Association (Devon County ASA)(DCASA), the volunteer-led county body for aquatic sport in Devon. We bring together clubs, coaches, officials, parents and swimmers to make some great things happen in and around the pool. From county championship events to developing skills and training for volunteers, our aim is simple: support clubs to thrive and support people to develop in a safe, supportive environment.

We’re affiliated to Swim England South West and work with clubs of every size across the county. If you’ve ever cheered behind a lane rope, marshalled a heat, kept time, or driven a minibus to an away gala, you’re part of our Devon ASA family.

Our Values

People first: Safety, wellbeing and enjoyment come before everything. We follow Wavepower and Swim England codes of practice because trust is non-negotiable:
Fair and respectful. We uphold Swim England rules and regulations so competition is consistent, transparent and honest for everyone:
Welcoming and inclusive: Aquatics is for all ages, stages and backgrounds. We celebrate progress as much as podiums.
Service and partnership: We support clubs with events, bursaries and development, and we listen.
Learning for life: We invest in coaches, teachers and officials through training pathways and mentoring so our sport keeps moving forward.

How We’re Organised

Devon ASA is run by volunteers who give their time and expertise to allow clubs to focus on the water.

Management Committee: sets direction, governance and county policy; oversees finance, welfare and development.
Discipline Groups: dedicated teams for each sport plan calendars, run events and support clubs at discipline level.
Elected roles at the AGM: committee members and key officers are elected annually to keep us accountable and fresh with new ideas.
Event & development leads: volunteers who deliver competitions, officials’ training, education pathways and bursary support.
