Our Commitment

Devon Swimming ASA is committed to ensuring that all children, young people, and adults at risk can enjoy swimming and aquatic sports in a safe, positive, and supportive environment.

We follow Swim England’s safeguarding policy, Wavepower, which sets out the procedures and guidance for everyone involved.

What is Wavepower?

Wavepower is Swim England’s safeguarding policy and procedures document. It ensures:

  • Children and young people are protected from harm
  • Adults at risk are supported and safeguarded
  • Everyone involved in aquatics understands their safeguarding responsibilities

  1. Contact your Club Welfare Officer in the first instance.

  2. If further help is needed, contact our Devon ASA Welfare Officer.

  3. For additional support, you can contact the Swim England Safeguarding Team via email, phone, or their online referral form.

Welfare Officer Role

Devon ASA has a county Welfare Officer who provides safeguarding guidance and support across the association.
