| For the 2nd Year running, ASA South West are launching their region wide YOUNG VOLUNTEERS PROJECT for 2008 - 2009.
With the success of last year's projects obtaining 97 new young volunteers aged 14-19 across our region, this is an opportunity not to be missed!!! All information is is available from the left menu (Volunteers) and also downloadable from www.swimwest.org |
| UnLtd are working in partnership with Comic Relief to run the UnLtd Sport Relief Awards, a UK wide funding programme which is aimed at young people between the ages of 11 and 21, who want to use sports and recreation projects to address a social problem or conflict in their communities.
As well as cash, UnLtd provide a support package for successful applicants including one to one support, practical training and the chance to network with other Award Winners. Our Awards are granted to the young people themselves (not to organisations) and they apply directly to us. There are two age categories within the award: - In the 11 – 16 age group, Awards of up to £500 are given but applicants are legally obliged to have a project advisor (a youth worker, teacher etc). - In the 17 – 21 age group, Awards of up to £5000 are granted and applicants do not need to have an advisor and complete the form themselves. |
